What is Try Sukhi Tablet?

Try Sukhi is an oral contraceptive pill. This pill is an easy, safe, effective and reversible contraceptive for a woman wanting to delay her first pregnancy or space the next child. It is the method of choice for postponing the first pregnancy. Each packet of Try Sukhi contains one month supply. Each packet has 28 tablets. The first 21 tablets are white is colour and contain hormones which prevent pregnancy. The remaining 7 tablets are brown and contain an Iron Supplement. These should also be taken to maintain continuity.

How does work?

Try Sukhi works by suppressing the release of the ovum (egg cell) from the ovaries. Pregnancy can not occur if there is no production of an egg cell from the ovaries.

Effectiveness of Oral Contraceptives :

Oral contraceptives or "birth control pills" are used to prevent pregnancy. When they are taken correctly without missing any pills, the chance of becoming pregnant is approximately 0.1% per year. The chance of becoming pregnant increases with each missed pill.

When should : Start Try Sukhi ?

If you are using an oral contraceptive pill for the first time, wait until your next menstrual period begins. Then, counting the first day of bleeding as Day 1, take your first pill on this day. Take your pill at the same time each day, preferably at the evening meal or at bedtime. If you have switched from a progestin - only pill, you may switch any day from the progestin - only pill and begin Try Sukhi the next day. It is recommended that you use a non-hormonal back up method for the first 7 days of taking the new pills.

How to continue taking Try Sukhi ?

Continue taking one pill a day in the order directed on the package at the same time every day. One white tablet is to be taken daily for 21 days followed by 1 brown tablet daily for 7 days. You will have regular menstruation while taking the brown pills. Do not stop taking pills even if you have the period. When the brown pills are finished, start a new pack of pills as instructed above, Whether you get your period or not, start the new pack the very next day after taking the last brown pill. A new pack is always started on the same day of the week as the day you first started taking Try Sukhi. Keep an extra pack of Try Sukhi handy so that the next pill can be started without a break. Regularity and continuity in taking the pill are essential to prevent pregnancy. If you want to get pregnant, stop using Try Sukhi.

What do I do if a pillis missed?

Try Sukhi is designed to protect you from pregnancy but it will do this only if you follow the schedule carefully. If 1 tablet has been missed at any time, the most recent missed tablets should be taken as soon as possible and the rest of the course should be taken as normal on schedule; no additional contraception is needed. If 2-3 pills have been missed at any time, the most recent tablets should be taken as soon as possible and the rest of the pack should be taken as normal. Another contraceptive method (like condoms) must be used until the next cycle is started to ensure protection from pregnancy.

What do I do if I miss a period?

A missed period rarely means you are pregnant if you have followed the schedule of pills. Failure to menstruate occurs occasionally with all oral contraceptives. Even if you have taken your Try Sukhi pills regularly, you should consult your doctor if you miss a period before starting a new pack of Try Sukhi pills. If you have omitted any tablet, started a package late, or do not menstruate during the 7 days, see the doctor. Use an alternative method of contraception n(not oral contraceptives) until pregnancy is ruled out.
